We cater for all abilities and fitness levels here at the centre!

Swim classes commence on Monday, 26 April.
Infant and preschool
Babies from 4 months to 5 years
Baby and toddler classes teach parents how to assist their babies and toddlers to become relaxed and confident in and around the water environment.
Classes begin with gentle water familiarization and the introduction to flotation, mobility and submersion skills, developing and extending these skills as the individual child shows their readiness.
These 30 minute classes cater for children aged 4 months to approximately 3 years.
Preschool classes are available for preschoolers aged 3+ years! Preschoolers will learn the fundamentals of independent swimming, safety and survival skills.
Stages 6 to 9
Junior Squads offers stages 6 to 9 in a class with a maximum of 6 swimmers and aims to prepare swimmers for either our Competitive Strokes or Swim and Survive squads.
It introduces swimmers to endurance swimming with intermediate stroke development while also including the stage requirements of the Royal Life Saving swim and survive criteria.
After stage 9, Swimmers can decide which strain of squads they wish to continue on with.
Beginners to advanced
Adult learn to swim classes
Designed for adults with minimal to no experience or skill in the aquatic environment. This class will give adults basic water safety and survival skills, an introduction to swimming strokes and build some fitness. The Adult Learn-to-Swim class currently runs every Saturday 11.20am to 11.50am and includes individualized teaching whilst in a group. This class is perfect for beginner adults.
Adult Fitness Squads
Designed for adults who have basic swimming technique and ability and wish to attend training sessions programmed to improve fitness, build endurance, refine and develop stroke technique. The Adult Fitness Squad runs every Tuesday 6.00pm to 6.45pm during the school term and is under the direction of our qualified coaches.
Holiday swim week
School holiday lessons for children 5 years and over
Our Holiday Swim Week is a five day intensive program that runs every school holidays for children of ages five and over (number of days may be affected by public holiday closures). Swim week is very popular for students to strengthen skills or achieve new levels before the new term begins.
Each 40 minute lesson is led by experienced instructors in small classes with the aim of ensuring that your child has fun whilst learning to swim.

Learn to swim
School age students
Learn to swim classes are for children in full-time school and run every afternoon, Monday to Friday.
During these 30 minute lessons school aged students will be instructed in the Royal Life Saving Swim and Survive Program stages 1 to 6 covering stroke development and the refining of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke alongside learning survival strokes and techniques.
As your child progresses through the stages of the program the distance of each stroke will increase and new skills with be introduced.
Stages 9 and up
Our Swim School offers a comprehensive squad program consisting of swimmers participating in sessions in the Bronze, Silver and Gold and Swim Sport programs. Forty five minute sessions cater for swimmers that have successfully completed stage 9.
Sessions will include: stroke refinement, endurance swimming, starts, turns and finishes, programming and times sets, personal best swim times and our own squad challenges.
Private lessons one on one
All ages welcome
Private 1:1 lessons are available throughout the swimming term.
Lessons cater for the age, ability level and skills of the swimmer. Skill development includes the confidence in the water, development and refining of swim strokes.
Private lessons are available Monday through to Saturday where vacancies exist.
Subject to availability
The full Bronze Medallion course is a 12 hour course that includes both theory and practical components. This course will enhance your personal survival skills while providing you with the knowledge and skills to develop the level of judgement, technique and physical ability required to safely carry out water rescues. This course is suitable for anyone over 14 years with a reasonable level of fitness and swimming ability.
The Bronze Medallion re-qualification course is 4 hours long and is suitable for a previous holder of a Bronze Medallion award.
