Baby and toddler classes teach parents to help babies and toddlers relax and be confident in and around water.
Classes begin with gentle water familiarisation and introduce flotation, mobility and submersion skills, developing and extending skills as the individual child shows their readiness.
These 30 minute classes cater for children aged four months to approximately three years.
Preschoolers between three and five years old can learn the fundamentals of independent swimming, safety and survival skills at LLC.
Classes for full time school children run each afternoon from Monday to Thursday, and on Saturday mornings.
During these 30 minute lessons, students will be instructed in the Royal Life Saving Swim and Survive Program stages one to six. Skills cover stroke development, refining freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, and learning survival strokes and techniques.
As your child progresses through the stages of the program, the distance of each stroke will increase and new skills will be introduced.
Junior squads offer stages six to nine, with classes capped at a maximum of six swimmers. Junior squads aim to prepare swimmers for either Competitive Strokes or Swim and Survive squads, which they can pursue after finishing stage nine.
Classes introduce students to endurance swimming with intermediate stroke development, while also meeting the stage requirements of the Royal Life Saving Swim and Survive program.
Our Swim School offers a comprehensive squad program for swimmers in Bronze, Silver and Gold and Swim Sport programs. The 45 minute sessions cater for swimmers who have successfully completed stage nine.
Sessions will include stroke refinement, endurance swimming, starts, turns and finishes, programming and time sets, personal best swim times and squad challenges.
