Please sign your child in at the crèche reception on arrival, and advise where in the centre you will be while your child is in the crèche.
You must remain in the centre for the duration of your child’s visit to the crèche. Please sign your child out when leaving the crèche.
First time users of the facility are welcome to view the crèche and meet our staff.
Call 9797 4000 or email llc.childrenservices@harvey.wa.gov.au to arrange a tour of the crèche facility.
If your child is distressed in the crèche, our friendly staff will attempt to settle them. If your child remains upset, you may be asked to attend to your child.
Please ensure that crèche staff have your current contact details on file.
Please pack a hat and apply sunscreen to your child so they can play outside.
If you’d like to supply a snack for your child, please only bring cut up fruit or vegetables. Children must be able to eat their snack independently.
Please bring a bag with all items your child might need: nappies, wipes, disposable bags, bottles (already made up), dummies etc. Prams are great for small children if they need to sleep or just to sit in for comfort. If your child is under two years of age please ensure you bring a pram/stroller for evacuation purposes
Please ensure your child has a clean, dry nappy before leaving him/her in the crèche, and let us know if you'd prefer for your child not to be changed by our staff.
Please mark all items with your child’s name and place them in your child’s labelled bag.
Due to the potential for a serious allergic reaction to nuts, it is important no nut products are brought into the crèche area.
Electronic devices, mobile phones, tablets, gaming consoles and cameras can’t be brought into the crèche.
Illness
To protect your child, other children and staff, please keep your child at home if they display any symptoms of illness such as:
- High temperature.
- Diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 24 hours.
- Conjunctivitis.
- Rashes.
- Cold or flu.
- Continual discoloured runny nose.
- Head lice.
A medical certificate may be required before a child can return to the crèche after an infectious illness.
While care is always taken, from time to time accidents do happen. If your child is involved in an accident or suffers an injury, you will be informed as soon as practical and will be asked to countersign an incident report acknowledging you have been advised of what happened.
In the event of an emergency staff will remove children from danger. Once all children are accounted for and in a safe location, parents may then collect their children.
