Creche

The Leschenault Leisure Centre Crèche provides a safe and caring environment for your children to enjoy themselves whilst you are making use of our wonderful facilities. The Crèche is available to children aged 8 weeks to 10 years old. No bookings are required to attend.

Children may only attend up to three hours per session and twelve hours per week. Please only bring cut up fruit. 

Passes can be purchased at the reception:

$6.50 per session

$55 for 10 sessions 

$80 for 20 sessions

Important Information

Sign in / Sign out

Upon arrival please sign your child in at the crèche reception and indicate your location on the sign in sheet whilst your child is in crèche.  Children must also be signed out when leaving the crèche.  A parent or guardian must remain in the Centre for the duration of their child’s visit to the crèche. First time parents or users of the facility are more than welcome to view the crèche and meet our carers.  If you would like to tour our crèche facility please call the Centre and ask to speak with our crèche supervisor. 

Distress Policy

Should your child become distressed while in the crèche all attempts will be made to settle him/her however you may be requested to attend to your child should the need arise

What To Bring

Please only bring fruits and vegetables (cut up and ready to go). All food and drinks must be able to be administered by the child. All items should be marked with the child’s name and placed in the child’s labelled bag.

Note: due to the potential for a serious allergic reaction to nuts, no nut products are to be brought into the crèche area.

Hat and sunscreen are a must for outdoor play.

Electronic Devices are not to be brought into the creche. ie mobile phones, tablets, gaming consoles & cameras

Nappy bag with all necessary items . i.e. nappies, wipes, disposable bags, bottles (already made up), dummies etc. Please ensure your child has a clean, dry nappy before leaving him/her in the crèche. Please mark all items with your child’s name. Let us know if you'd prefer for your child not to be changed by our staff.

Prams are great for small children if they need to sleep or just to sit in for comfort.  If your child is under 2 years of age please ensure you bring a pram/stroller for evacuation purposes

Illness

To protect your child, other children and staff, please keep your child at home if they display any symptoms of illness. For example:

  • High temperature

  • Diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 24 hours

  • Conjunctivitis

  • Rashes

  • Cold or flu

  • Continual discoloured runny nose

  • Head lice

A medical certificate may be required before a child can return to the crèche after an infectious illness.

Accidents & Emergencies

Despite our best efforts accidents will happen from time to time.  If your child is involved in an accident or suffers an injury you will be informed as soon as practicable and will be asked to counter sign an incident report acknowledging you have been advised of what has happened.

In the event of an emergency staff will remove children from the danger area.  Once all children are accounted for and in a safe location, parents may then collect their child/ren
