Recreation Park
The Leschenault Recreation Park (LRP) consists of 19 hectares of playing surface for various sports including soccer, AFL, archery, cricket and rugby.
Providing sporting clubs, schools and groups with ample space for training and competitions, the Leschenault Recreation Park is a great space for sporting and recreational events.
Australind’s sporting community continues to grow and for this reason, planning for a further two ovals is under way. This will provide the Shire of Harvey community with a total of eight ovals.
- Oval 1: A multipurpose oval, suitable for sports such as senior/junior rugby and cricket.
- Oval 2: Archery oval (currently closed for ground repairs).
- Oval 3: Suitable for cricket (turfed wicket), junior soccer and junior AFL.
- Oval 4: Suitable for senior/junior soccer and cricket. Oval 4 has a total of 5 soccer pitches including 3 FIFA pitches and 1 cricket wicket (synthetic turf).
- Oval 5: Suitable for senior/junior AFL.
- Oval 6: Suitable for senior/junior AFL, this premier oval, boasting fantastic views from the Leschenault Sporting Pavilion grandstand, with partial views across ovals three and four from the upper level balcony.
All ovals have access to public toilets and are floodlit.
All ovals are in close proximity to ample car parking, coach and bus parking, change rooms, club rooms and spectator seating (oval 6 only).
