In November 2025, nearly 400 community members shared their thoughts about the Leschenault Leisure Centre. Your feedback helps guide the improvements and upgrades that matter most to you, and we appreciate everyone who took the time to be part of the conversation.
Here’s what you told us.
Who took part?
We heard from a wide mix of people who use LLC in different ways:
- Current members: 41%
- Parents and carers: 22%
- Casual users: 19%
- Sporting club members, spectators, court users and more
More than half of respondents have been visiting LLC for over five years, showing just how important the Centre is to our community.
What facilities are being used?
LLC is used for a wide range of activities, including:
- Leisure swimming
- Lap swimming
- Gym and group fitness
- Swim school
- Sports courts
- Crèche
- Café (when open)
The Centre plays a big role in supporting families, fitness goals, and community sport.
What you said we’re doing well
We’re proud that many of you highlighted the things you love about LLC, including:
✔ Friendly, welcoming staff
Our customer service, gym, creche, swim school, and group fitness teams received consistently high praise.
✔ Strong community atmosphere
Many people said they feel comfortable, supported, and part of a community when they visit LLC.
✔ Programs you value
The Living Legends program, group fitness, swim school delivery, creche support, and social connections were all mentioned as highlights.
What needs improvement?
Your feedback also told us very clearly where the challenges are. These themes were repeated often, and we want to acknowledge them openly:
1. Pool area and changerooms
Many comments focused on the need for:
- Upgrades to the pool facilities
- Better ventilation and cleanliness
- More modern and spacious changerooms
- More lanes for swimming
- An aquatic area that can meet the needs of a growing community
2. Court space and crowding
Our basketball and netball courts are heavily used.
You told us:
- More courts are needed
- Spectator areas are too cramped
- Hallways can become congested during busy times
3. Opening hours
A strong theme was the desire for:
- Earlier weekday openings
- Longer weekend hours
- Better alignment with work schedules
- 24/7 gym access (in line with other providers)
4. Communication
While customer service scored highly, communication around cancellations, closures and scheduling changes is something you want to see improved.
